Adobong Atay ng Manok (Chicken Liver Adobo) Recipe



INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 kg atay ng manok (chicken liver)
  • 1/2 kg balunbalunan ng manok (chicken gizzard), (optional)
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • thumb-sized ginger, sliced
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 pcs. dried bay leaves
  • salt to taste
  • msg/ seasoning mix (optional)
  • cooking oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon vinegar

PROCEDURE:

1. In a mixing bowl put the chicken giblets (liver and gizzard), soy sauce, vinegar, a small portion of garlic, salt, msg, and dried bay leaves. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
2. Heat cooking oil in a pan.
3. Saute the remaining garlic, onion,and ginger.
4. Add the chicken giblets while you set aside the marinade.
5. Saute the chicken giblets and cook until it changes color.
6. Pour in the marinade, add the red bell pepper. Simmer for 4 minutes.
7. Adjust seasoning according to preferred taste.
8. Remove from heat and transfer to a serving plate.
9. Serve hot with rice.
10. Share and enjoy!
