INGREDIENTS:
- 1 1/2 cups sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 cup taro roots, peeled and cubed (optional)
- 1 cup purple yam, peeled and sliced (optional)
- 5 pcs medium ripe plantains (saging na saba), peeled and sliced
- 1 cup ripe jackfruit, shredded (optional)
- 1 cup sago (tapioca pearls), cooked
- 1 cup palm flour
- 1/2 cup glutinous rice flour (optional)
- 5 cups coconut milk
- 4 cups water
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
PROCEDURE:
1. Pour the water in a large cooking pot and bring to a boil.
2. Add the sweet potatoes, taro roots, and purple yam. Stir, then half cook for 3 mins.
3. Add the bananas, palm flour, sago, and jackfruit. Stir, then cook for 3 mins.
4. Add the coconut milk, sugar, glutinous rice flour and vanilla extract. Stir occasionally then cook for 3 mins.
5. Adjust the taste according to preference.
6. Serve hot.
