Chocolate Pound Cake Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups cocoa powder, sifted
  • 4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 cups shortening or use anchor butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla or choco flavor
  • 2 Tbsp coffee powder
  • 2 cups hot water
  • Butter used for greasing


PROCEDURE:

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine all the dry ingredients then followed by the remaining ingredients.
2. Mix well using a ladle until smooth.
3. Dissolve coffee in a 2-cup hot water, then add to the mixture. Blend well and set aside.
4. Grease baking pan, lined with wax paper, then grease again.
5. Pour the mixture into baking pan. Set aside.
6. Preheat oven and bake mixture at 325 Degrees Fahrenheit until done.
